Privacy Policy

This privacy policy sets out how we (Mr. Proofread) use and protect any information about you when you use this website.

We are committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Should we ask you to provide certain information, by which you can be identified when using this website, then you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.

Your documents

In a bid to ensure complete confidentially, the information in your documents is not shared with any other party. Each editor has signed a none disclosure agreement, and they are asked to remove the file from their laptop 30 days after they have sent the work back to you.

Once the work has been completed, the file(s) will be listed on your 'My Documents' page. We will keep a copy of your completed documents for 30 days after we have sent them back to you. This is simply a precautionary measure to ensure that you have received the documents safely. Your document will be deleted from our server 30 days after we send the completed work back to you.

Personally identifiable data that we collect

We may collect the following information:

  • name
  • email address
  • postal address
  • IP address

Your email address is used to login to your account and receive email alerts about the progress of the work on your texts. Your name and postal address are used to speed up the checkout process with each order, but they also appear on the top of each order invoice for accounting purposes. You have the ability to update your email and postal addresses on your account settings page.

Paper documents are kept at our trading address for accounting purposes. We are required to keep these for 6 years in case we are audited by HMRC.

We do not send marketing emails without your consent.

Your IP address may be logged by the server from time to time. We do not access these logs for any other reason than to troubleshoot server issues as and when they happen. We do not use IP address to attempt to identify individual users.

All of this information is stored on our server behind multiple username and password layers.

Security

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.
