Mr. Proofread was originally created to provide proofreading services to writers using English as a Second Language (ESL). I created Mr. Proofread when I was teaching English as a college lecturer and I realised that my skills could be used to help ESL writers to deliver their message with greater clarity. Then, I quickly discovered that exposure to common mistakes in a learning environment is very useful when making the transition from teacher to editor.

Today, Mr. Proofread represents a group of native English editors with a wide range of experience in English writing development. We have one rule: all of our editors must have experience of teaching English at a university — with no exception. The qualities developed from teaching in language schools, gaining a masters degree (or equivalent), and teaching at a university, have helped our group to form very successful working relationships with respected ESL writers in both academic and corporate environments.

Each editor is graduate level educated, able to support ESL writers with any project, and always aims for perfection. It's our mission to provide the best proofreading service possible, so that you have the confidence to submit your work without a concern.
